Day 01 : Kandy

Arrival to Bandaranayake Airport and proceed to Kandy, Sri Lanka’s hill capital.En route visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, home to one of the world’s best orchid collections.It includes more than 4000 species of plants, including orchids, spices, medicinal plants and palm trees. It is the National Herbarium of Sri Lanka. The total area of the botanical garden is 147 acres (0.59 km2), at 460 meters above sea level, and with a 200-day annual rainfall. It is managed by the Division of National Botanic Gardens of the Department of Agriculture.
In the evening visit the Temple of Tooth Relic the much-revered Tooth Relic of the Lord Buddha in time for the evening ‘pooja’, One of another palaces in Sri Lanka. The pirith-chanting and the sound of the Sri Lankan drums, the smell of lotus gives the inner peace. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country.
En-route to Kandy you can pass two different climates and also will able to see spice gardens, Tea factories, Historical Temples which is called “MahaVihara” and also all the green scenery like Tea, Rubber, Coconut and Other Valuable plantations will give you awesome feelings. Thereafter enjoy the Sri Lankan traditional dance performance in the evening.

Day 02 : Maskeliya / Adam's Peak

After Breakfast take the train from Kandy to Nanuoya This is one of Sri Lanka’s most beautiful rail journeys as it climbs through tea plantations. Disembark at Nanuoya and proceed to Maskeliya which is a small village located at the base of Adam’s Peak. The drive will be past the beautiful Devon and St. Clare’s waterfalls.
Check in to a Small Guest House in the evening and spend a few hours at leisure to relax before the midnight climb to Adam`s peak to see the Beautiful scenery of Sunrise.The mountain is located in the southern reaches of the Central Highlands in the Ratnapura district and NuwaraEliya district of the Sabaragamuwa Province and Central Province – lying about 40 km northeast of the city of Ratnapura and 32 km southwest of the city of Hatton. The surrounding region is largely forested hills, with no mountain of comparable size nearby. The region along the mountain is a wildlife reserve, housing many species varying from elephants to leopards, and including many endemic species.
Adam’s Peak is important as a watershed. The districts to the south and the east of Adam’s Peak yield precious stones – emeralds, rubies and sapphires, for which the island has been famous, and which earned for its ancient name of Ratnadvipa.

Day 03 : Adam's Peak

Begin the climb at approximately 0200 hrs. Climb through the night to reach the summit by dawn for a once in a lifetime sunrise.
The Pilgrim season runs from the full moon in December to the full moon in May, during which time hundreds of pilgrims make the arduous climb every night. The ascent is usually begun at midnight. Climbing through the night will get you to the summit by dawn for an awe-inspiring sunrise. Pilgrims chanting prayers, the huge bell at the summit piercing the clear mountain air makeup the elements for a cultural highlight which will never be forgotten. During the pilgrim season the path is lit and small kiosks offer trekkers and pilgrims basic hot food, tea, coffee and water. During the rest of the year, the pathway is dark and no pilgrims are to be found, but the adventure and majesty of Adam’s Peak remain.
Climb – assent and descent of 1,100m. Distance is 13km in total and includes 5700 steps each way, will take 06 hrs. walking time. Temperature at the summit at dawn can be as low as 05 – 10 degrees and so, windbreaker, fleece and raincoats are recommended. Clients should also carry a torch. Adams Peak is located in the Peak Wilderness Sanctuary which is a part of Sri Lanka’s Central Highlands and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Descend peak and return to the guest house for a hot meal. After a short rest, proceed to Ella. If time premises optional Train ride from Hatton to Ella.

Day 04 : Ella

Ella is a small town in the Badulla District of Uva Province, Sri Lanka governed by an Urban Council. It is approximately 200 kilometres (120 mi) east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1,041 meters (3,415 ft.) above sea level. The area has a rich bio-diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The town has a cooler climate than surrounding lowlands, due to its elevation. The Ella Gap allows views across the southern plains of Sri Lanka. Always a lovely city to live with neither of Heaters or air-conditioners.
After Breakfast climb and explore the Mini Adam’s Peak Ella. Thereafter proceed to world famous Nine Arch Bridge.

Day 05 : Yala

After Breakfast proceed to Yala. En-route visit Buduruwagala temple. Yala National Park is a huge area of forest, grassland and lagoons bordering the Indian Ocean, in southeast Sri Lanka. Its home to wildlife such as leopards, elephants, Pea-cocks and crocodiles, as well as hundreds of bird species. Also more other wild animals too. Inland, Sithulpawwa&MagulMahaViharaya are an ancient Buddhist monasteries. Nearby caves contain centuries-old rock paintings. Both are pilgrimage sites. Area is 978.8 km². Enjoy the evening jeep safari in Yala National Park, One of the best national park for Leopard.

Day 06 : Galle

After breakfast proceed to Galle. En route visit Turtle Farm. Green Turtle is the most commonly found turtle in Sri Lanka.
In the afternoon visit Galle Fort and explore on foot. The Galle Fort is the best preserved of the many Dutch Forts located around the country and truly allows a glimpse in to Sri Lanka’s colonial past. The tiny guest houses and restaurants located on quaint, narrow, cobblestoned streets which crisscross the fort; make it easy to imagine what life must have been like during the Dutch colonization. A sunset walk along the magnificent ramparts which once fortified this town will be a spectacular end to your last night of exploring Sri Lanka.
If time premises optional cooking demonstration with Chef Sampath. In that demonstration, you will learn all the tricks of handling spicy food. You can learn, cook yourself own curries. Also you can see the old traditional Kitchen which were famous in every home in Sri Lanka; made out of local mud clay. All the pots, glasses and even plates are using here made out by Local Clay. Also you will receive a recipe book which include 20+ recipes and also it include very best description about all the spices which we use in Sri Lanka; written by Sampath.
Overnight stay at Galle Fort or Unawatuna.

Day 07 : Colombo & Departure

Thereafter proceed to Colombo, Sri Lanka commercial city. In the evening explore the city. Colombo is rapidly changing and is a hive of development with many High-rise buildings constantly changing the city’s skyline. Thankfully the tasteful developments are preserving the special culture of Colombo…!
End your walk along the Galle Face Green, which is a seaside promenade used every evening by hundreds of city-dwelling locals who come out for a walk and some fresh air. Street vendor will be selling all manner of food and ice creams. Kite sellers will be selling kites to children… a perfect insight to regular Colombo city life. The walk ends at the Galle Face Hotel, one of Colombo’s most iconic locations and the city’s oldest hotel which is over 130 years old.
Thereafter enjoy a farewell dinner at a small local restaurant. Drop at the airport for departure flight. End of the service
